Tonia Nneji: Good Evening, Good Evening Street
Rele Gallery’s Lagos presentation brings together paintings and an installation by Tonia Nneji. Inspired by her observations of Goriola Street in Ajegunle, the exhibition examines freedom and the social expectations placed on women. The gallery describes a project that reflects on the artist’s own assumptions as well as how visitors encounter the people and places represented in her work.
